This little old black man gave me these in exchange for a number he should play in the lottery today.
I have not fallen off the face of the earth. It seems like I have been busy but not really. I am ready for the dog days of summer to be over with. The New Age of Aquarius is coming along nicely. I am to the neck decreases on the front. I have attempted to start a lacy tank from this summer’s Interweave Knits (can’t recall the name, will post progess later) out of some Debbie Bliss cashmere merino I have had laying around. This is an absolute row counter , don’t talk to me project. I have already started over 3 times.
I have finally broken my stash diet.
This is a mill end yarn I passed up last May.
It is a rayon cotton blend that is pretty heavy. Bob had knitted up a hat of this stuff and ended up running short, so I know that the weight is not a good indicator of the yardage. I am thinking of making a simple cropped cardigan for this winter.
Meet Sid. He was a pound pup surrendered because his previous owners thought he was dull. He looks so much like a dog I used to have that I miss dearly. The rest of the menagerie have totally embraced him. Sebastian seems to love the company during the day. He takes 30 minutes to eat a milkbone, he snores like a freight train, and barks like an old hound dog. JEEZ! Give me a dull dog any day.
